Astrix is 17 years old and lives in California with her mom. Her dad died when she was young, and Astrix can't speak because of her mom. Her mom was driven into depression when her dad died and is now drunk 24/7.
All Astrix wants to have is a normal life, but that can never happen. She is teased and bullied because of her speech condition, but there is one girl who is always there for Astrix. Her name is Molly. But when Astrix is just done with her life, she just wants to get out of the house as fast as she can for school every morning.
Astrix accidentally runs into the boy's bathroom one morning. Luckily, she gets to listen into a conversation about her. One boy is just be a typical boy, but the other one. He was nice and stood up for her like no boy has ever done that before. Then, she accidentally falls into him after tripping. He said his name was Nathan.
That night Astrix was attacked, but some mysterious boy shows up and saves her. Suddenly, Nathan starts showing up a lot more.
Who is this he? Is he somehow connected to the boy who saved her that night? What does he want?

Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete
