Peace is a fragile thread so easily snapped.  When the Five Wight Walkers escape Westeros and disappear throughout the rest of the realms, Loki and Daenerys must handle the threat quickly and quietly.  But, knowing Loki's luck, quietly is not going to happen.  When the Wight Walkers arrive on Midgard, Loki sends the only people he can trust to deal with the issue: an adult Rhaenar and Ragna Frostborn, his eldest son and daughter!
The two highly trained fighters soon come face to face with the notorious Avengers and SHIELD, but explain the delicate mission they are on to avoid a confrontation.  They are paired with Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier; and Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch.  Together, they begin to battle the undead as the Wight Walkers begin to gather their forces for a hostile take over of the world of the living.
Loki cannot stay away for long and soon finds himself on the realm he once tried to rule.  Cold snows blow and ice is a treacherous element.

Everyone on the street runs in fear. The old lady he was helping pats him on the arm and thanks him. Much to the Avengers surprise. Now there's this huge fight going on. Civilians are running in every direction trying to get away from the fight. Some are getting caught in the middle so Loki tries his best to get them away. But the Avengers thinking he's trying to hold a hostage makes the situation even worse. Now Loki needs to get the civilian out of the way and defend himself. He cast a shield around himself and the people. Teleporting the people away he drops the shield . "Listen to me!" Loki groaned as the Avengers ignored his pleas. "What did you do?!" There was so much going on he didn't even see who asked the question. He just answered without thinking."Nothing! You people are the ones that attacked first. As I was helping someone! What if they had gotten hurt?!" The Avengers faltered for just a second before straightening their resolve. As the fight went on Loki was getting tired of their incompetence. "Stop!" Loki yelled heavily out of breath. All the Avengers were frozen by Loki's magic. Even the almighty Thor. "You so-called avengers just attacked me unprovoked, risked multiple lives, and won't even listen to what I have to say." He turned to Thor. "But this must seem normal to you my "dear brother" seeing how this is just like the old days." There was a few minutes of silence before anything happened. People started to flood the streets again. Trying to get a glimpse at the action. "Now since I don't want any trouble, I'll come with you without a fight. Like I would have done before had you not shot at my ass! Now I'm going to drop the spell. But don't you dare fire at me!"

Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.
