Hell is empty, and all the devils are here... ~William Shakespeare The Hunters, soldiers of the Order, have kept the world safe for centuries from the Darkness that threatens to consume it, and none are better at this than Cale Schatten. And then he is arrested for a crime he did not commit, under falsified evidence, and he realizes that the people he's been serving blindly, are just as corrupt as the Darkness that thrives on the edges of the night. He is thrown into a world that he never knew, one constructed of lies and deceit, and everything he thinks is true crumbles like a paper house around him. All he knows of himself now are his feelings for the eerily familiar Fae girl, Wynella Dawnlight, who both intrigues him and puts him on edge. Who can he trust? Is anyone worth the effort? And most importantly who, when the time for battle arrives, will he join?
