You've heard of life after death. Well, there's also work in the afterlife. Ida Spalding lived a good life-until she came out as bisexual in her junior year. Then the bullying started. At the end of her senior year, Ida was killed in a car accident. Now, she works for a haunting company making minimum wage. Things begin to change, however, when she gets assigned to haunt her former best friend. Crystal had been Ida's best friend until her death. After Ida's death, Crystal became depressed. No amount of therapy or medication could help. She also became obsessed with the supernatural. So, it was no surprise to her parents when she asked to go to the most famously haunted spot in America-Red's Cabin-for spring break. There, Crystal senses the ghost of her friend and does her best to communicate. They want to see each other again, but the only way to do that is for Crystal to die. Will she make the ultimate sacrifice to see Ida again?

"I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
