Before The Sun Rises

My name is Jessica. My mom and dad divorced around the time that I was eight years old. After their divorce my mom took custody over me. We lived in a quiet town, not much went on really. Anybody that passed by would feel the dead silence within the first two minutes. Within the years I surpassed most of my classes and made it to my senior year of high school. I've made many great friends along the way, one of my best friends is named Joey. He's a year older than me, in age, and is a senior as well. He's been by my side since my parents divorce. It's as if he was glued to me and there was nothing that could detach him from me or at least that's what it seemed like to me. To others it was as if we were dating. Three months into my senior year my dad remarried to a woman who has two children of her own. I wasn't too pleased with the news but I couldn't do anything about it.
