Alone by the alter

I stood at the alter waiting for my lovely wife Mary, to join me.
she smiled and linked hands with me while staring into each others eyes.
the preacher asks "Should anyone here present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace"

and that is when it all went wrong, that's when I met him.
