Sakura Carlos was blessed by divinity, or, in the eyes of others, was divine herself. Her power revolved around giving(and taking) life. Plants, animals, people. Flowers bloomed in her hair, vines coursing through her body.
She didn't know anything about herself, one day, she simply woke up underneath a Cherry Tree. The locals took her in, and legends grew about her amazing power. Crops were always ripe and bountiful, people never seemed to get sick around her. She eventually cultivated it so she could use it, the town practically worshipped her.
That's how she got his attention.
He came with many others, called themselves the Spiders. No one knew much about them, and they didn't tell. She and their leader, Chrollo Lucilfer, grew closer, and one day, he confessed his love and asked her to leave with him. She refused. Her home was here, her life was here.
He didn't take it well. He and his group burned down her village, and took her by force, even if she ran away know, where would she go? He told her the true nature of the spiders, and it all clicked.
She spent years with him, until she finally left, and kept to the shadows to avoid their searching gaze.
Now, she's taking the Hunter exam. And she won't return to him, no matter how much she misses the adoration. Maybe a few others will help her cement that statement... or make her backpedal.
