Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. Linnea, the story's main character, believes her childhood best friend is her soulmate, but she soon learns that there are tricks to this color system. Sometimes, color can be falsely seen in faint hues and sometimes, the person you thought was your soulmate really isn't. When she meets Jade, she learns that perhaps your soulmate isn't exactly the person you imagined.
