It's been 5 years since the horrible burglary at the Bennett Estate that killed an entire family. But even after their tragic deaths, the house was not left entirely abandoned.

Astor Bennett, a forever 17-year-old spirit has found herself imprisoned within the walls of her once beloved home, unable to escape the horrible memories that continue to plague her mind to this day. And Astor, for reasons unknown, was the only one from her family that was left trapped within the walls of this house of horrors after death. Now, it has now become the tainted "sanctuary" of her afterlife, which she has only spent lost and lonely without her family's spirits by her side.

But when the Sloan family one day takes up residence in the mansion, it seems everything is about to change. Will Astor remain trapped and lonely in her afterlife prison? Or will she finally come to rest in peace?

[BOOK TWO] "Anniversaries to some are like counting the years spent doing something great, years spent together, or years spent alive." I started slowly, voice dropping to a drawl as I peeked cautiously out of my bedroom blinds, scanning the road to see if there was a cloaked figure watching my every movement. "I view anniversaries as counting down the days till death finds me." *** After the events of her wonderfully packed 21st birthday, Addison was ready to retire back into her home and never again see the light of day. It wasn't a totally bad idea. After all, her family's generations-old riches was enough to tide her over until the day her past finally catches on, and until that day finally arrives, she had no intention to step out of her front door. And to think the last time she did, she ended up in the game of cat and mouse with a cynical hooded spirit that wanted her dead and her soul in a glass bottle for his own little sadistic collection. Silence had followed the whole year after the disastrous party. For nearly 365 days, Addison had no trouble with unwanted evil celestial beings lurking around her house in an attempt to take her soul away with a world-stopping kiss. However, the silence was too often, and the world had become too quiet. Reason being? Apparently, Death's new move was to kidnap her best friend Minnie Hoover in an attempt to bait her down to hell itself. Life became much quieter without one-third of her little clique. And so Addison ventured away from the safety of her home, in search of her best friend. After all, silence creeps the heart just as death does, and the world was now deadly silent. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #9 Highest Rank Teen Fiction: #77

If you're told you're the only one who can save the world, would you volunteer your life to do it? ***** All hell is breaking loose--literally. Long-lost realms that were sealed up are opening, and centuries-old creatures are escaping, all hungry to feed on humans and create worldwide chaos. It's Avery's fault, of course; but his sacrifices are too hard and his wounds too deep to put all the blame on him. But, as usual, the solution rests on his shoulders. Jessamine has her role to play, too. If you thought she was resting on her laurels, living a passive life in the demon realm--think again. She's about to encounter blasts from the past and learn more about this world than she ever thought she would. With both of them confined within their respective realms, they'll have to team up with foes and former lovers to protect Earth from the monsters seeking to invade and destroy it. But is there really a happy ending waiting for them if they succeed? Or will there always be the threat of other realms looming over their heads?
