Love is just a game, it makes you weak.
This is what Abigail was taught to think, she couldn't and shouldn't trust anyone.
"Well I must be weak," she whispered quietly to herself. "As I have fallen in love."
Had she known that her 'true love' was to try to kill her, leaving her heartbroken... She could've just dogded that sting, the feeling of having your heart crushed into pieces.
I am not talking metaphorically. Her heart was ripped our of her chest, crushed in the hands of the man) she thought she could love.
How could she be so stupid? Why had she believed that she could have a future with someone? Especially Lucifer himself.
As she took her last few breaths of air, which was full of the stench of blood, sweat and dirt, her head lolling to the side. As her eyes started to close, black dots clouding her vision, she could've sworn she saw Lucifer look at her with pity and regret.
She let the darkness overtake her, slipping into a deep slumber that would last for many centuries.
