For Amy Harris, farm life is perfect. Except for her annoying mother and not enough freedom to do EVERYTHING she wants, of course. But she realizes what she used to take for granted when she is suddenly snatched up and taken to Boston to live with her snooty maternal relatives after a dangerous house fire. THEN she has to deal with Rebecca, who if she says just ONE more comment about Amy's clothes might get a sock in the nose, and she befomes a Lowell mill girl, to help pay back the "expenses" of their visit because Aunt Ida won't leave them alone. So Amy is like UUGGHHHH!!!!!!! Will she EVER be able to get back home? And then, of course, what about Henry, the love of her life???
