600 hundred years after the last of Erkshawl's magic died away, it's legacy-the Prophecy-had faded away in the minds of the people until it was a shadow of what it once was, reduced to almost no more than a fairytale. However, forgotten by most as it might be, the prophesied 600 years went by and, as foretold so long ago, magic was reawakened in the land. With the power, and threat, of magic reappearing, the peace of Erkshawl is threatened as various hosts clash in trying to gain control over the wielder. Not only that, but an inner struggle also arises as the wielders themselves taste sweetness of power. Magic is most possibly the hardest test of human nature. There is no win or lose. There is no pass or fail. There is only realization. Exhilaration. And regret.

"There is no victory. There is no salvation. There is no escape. There is only the slow, intricate, and infinite death of all things." Celestara was a world of gods and kings, of demons and heroes, of fate and prophecy. A world where light and darkness waged eternal war, always destined to return in an endless cycle of balance. Until... they saw it. The Rift. The thing that was never meant to be. The first crack in a flawless reality. Then the Thanatarchy arrived. It did not conquer. It did not fight. It did not negotiate. It simply began to erase. Cities were unmade before they could fall. Wars ended before they could begin. Prophecies rewrote themselves into silence. Even the gods forgot their own names. And now, as reality itself collapses, one man-Darius Vaelthorne-remembers what should have been. But even he does not know if he is real anymore. "This is not a war of good versus evil." "This is the unraveling of existence itself." "And there will be no survivors." A dark fantasy, cosmic horror, and existential unraveling unlike any other. If you seek comfort, turn back. If you seek annihilation, read on.
