Most guys would put up a fight. Claim her as his. "I've known her my entire life." "I've been in love with her since year 5." "Where were you when she lost student government during year 8?" "How many nights have you stayed up talking to her about absolutely nothing?" "How many times have you let her win playing card games?" "Could you even tell me what her favourite song was?" But I never say a word. I completely gave her up. And for what? The 3rd wheel before her mum would let her out on a proper date? To clean up the popcorn you guys spilled while fooling around? I loved her first, I knew her first (and the best), air go, I should have her. But I'd never object to their relationship. She'd never have a clue. And why can't I? Just tell the guy straight up that he's not good enough. She deserves so much better. Not that I am, but I'd at least be humble enough to admit that. Why couldn't I just put up a fight, put him in his place? Believe me, he deserves it. I'd know. But I can't. Because 'he' is my brother.

"I still never said it. And besides that, you're not listing the basics of the relationship. We need rules and agreements. When is it over?" "We'll have a deal," I told her. "You commit wholeheartedly to us being in a fake relationship, and I'll continue to tutor you." "That's great," She said impassively. "But when does this end?" She looked between us. "When I'm sitting at a hundred, or when you win your girlfriend back?" "I'm not necessarily saying I want her back," I said. "We're just doing this for the fun of it. I can't really put a timing on it." She was quiet a moment before impulsively agreeing. "Fine," She gave a shrug. "Although, I will have to say, I feel bad for you." "Why do you feel bad for me?" "I can't be your Juliet."
