As we have moved on into the future, we've predicted wonderful things. Industries were supposed to advance in great technology, world issues were to be put at end, and humanity was to explore elsewhere. Or so we thought. In the year 2114, we HAVE advanced in new technology, we call the invention the "Time Of Death Marks", yet it has started more wars known to man. World issues were not put to an end, and were rather started every day. Humanity did not explore elsewhere, other than the streets of the madness. And we did not succeed or move forward as the human species.

Very few sane people remain on Earth. And the ones who did not shelter themselves from the extreme disasters that have taken over this world, have let those disasters taken over them themselves. The longer you try to cope with this war, there is only so much you can take before it eats you away.

In a distant realm where magic thrives, ferocious beasts shake mountains and rivers with their mighty roars, and individuals wield superhuman strength capable of reshaping their surroundings. It is a magical world where the strong rules. But rampant corruption and chaos exist, where slavery, rape, murder, and discrimination against the weak were all but common. The magically superior people trample over the lesser unfortunate folks, using them as stepping stones and disposable assets. All hope for these downtrodden souls seems lost, but the wheels of fate have other plans for them. In a faraway ocean, one that is filled with demons and sea monsters, a great technological civilization suddenly appeared, one that came from a world that is only filled with chaos and destruction. This civilization became the heaven for people seeking a stable and peaceful life. The Earth rose and seas parted ways, and the environment had totally changed for its adaptability. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of this great technological civilization are all but manaless, arriving in a world where they are seen as inferior and as slaves. How will they react of finding themselves in a world where people can split mountains or bend the fabric of space, and where beings exist that even conventional weapons cannot defeat? How will they survive against deadly monsters, magical beasts, and superhumans that could threaten entire nations? And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? This is the story of one of the most powerful empires on Earth, and how it broke the balance of power and rose to the top.

Between The Crystals

79 parts Ongoing

The aliens kill every human they catch, or in rare cases, put trackers on them to discover their hidden villages. When Natalie is caught in an ambush, she is unexpectedly released. But there is no tracker. The Saursunes have an entirely different motive this time. *** Run. Don't look back. When Natalie is trapped in an alien ambush, she is unexpectedly released. The first human to ever be let go. The Saursunes invaded centuries ago, and everyone knows that getting caught is certain death. Natalie is confused but grateful to be alive. As a porter, one of the few humans with the rare ability to teleport between special crystal formations, she must leave the safety of her desert village every day to help gather food. When other villages increase their raids on the Saursunes' farms, the aliens retaliate by hunting down every human they can find - except Natalie's group. Instead of trying to kill her and those helping her, they bring them food instead. Is it a trap? Or something else? Natalie isn't sure, but one thing is certain: the Saursunes aren't done with her yet. ------------ Updates are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11-1pm MST. The story is completed offline, so no worries about it being abandoned!
