Somewhere within the ocean of labels and stereotypes at Lincoln High is a very awkward, very invisible, and very gay seventeen year old who goes by Carter. A boy with one bulimic vegan friend and a long lasting crush on a guy who walks around with a leather jacket and electric blue eyes.

Somewhere within the ocean of horny and egotistical teenagers of Lincoln High is a very troublesome, very broken, and very confused eighteen year old who is known as River. A guy with no interest in socializing or friendships.

After watching his longtime crush get cornered by the school's two football stars, Carter interferes and fights along side the senior he has never spoken to. He gets the attention he has tried so hard to avoid not only from the judgmental, stereotypical, label-filled swarm of teenagers, but by the guy who makes him weak at the knees. River finally decides to get close to someone, and that someone just so happens to be the boy who jumped into his outnumbered match up.

Confusion tumbles over.
Teasing-remarks are made.
Secrets are reveled.
Trouble is caused.
And love appears for the first time in two very fucked up lives.
