This is story loosely based off of/inspired by a roleplay that I was in. It's largely centered around the character I created for that roleplay, and will intermittently switch between her diary entries and focused third person point of view. The story is set in the future, after the majority of the earth's population has died out, and the remaining human population continue to fight for their survival. This is kind of a work in progress, so be kind. I'll most likely change the title later on and write up a better description, as well as make a cover for it.

I am dying. I know this because i can feel all my senses leaving me. I can see flashes, recollections, of my past. They preen at me through my lashes. But I am calm. There is a feeling of delirium thumping in my heart, spreading through my body. With the little strength that I can muster, I reach out to take hold of the nearest objects to me. It ties me to the earth, but when my eyes no longer see light, the bond that keeps me on this world will be severed, and no longer shall i be alive. We Can Change Tomorrow
"Our choices today can affect the future of tomorrow and we can change that." --- "Okay...so how did that cause this catastrophe to occur?" I bite my lip and wince. "Since there weren't enough resources for everyone, the World Alliance or you call it the United Nations, got together to discuss the matter. It was a difficult decision to decide who got what. In the end, there was a hold." The kid who gets injected slumps down on the unsanitary ground. The worker places a mask on their face before shoving their limp body aside. She films this, keeping her face neutral, which is hard. I can tell. Follow along as our cast of characters is forced to navigate a deadly everyday maze of monsters, dehydration, and malice just to stay alive long enough to seize their only chance to go home. ----------------------------------- Hello~ This is a short story and an AU that could also function as future events after "Homeless." Pandora's Trials
In a world ravaged by a virus and plagued by conflict, a girl named Pandora Meyer recovers from the virus that took her memories and lives with her father, Abraham, in an isolated cottage hidden by the thick forests of the northern peninsula of Michigan. One day, she saves a boy who says his colony needs help. The southern peninsula was taken over by a cult hellbent on either growing their numbers or wiping out sinners, and they want to expand northward. As she helps the northerners fight off the violent cult, she must figure out who she is and how to survive in a harsh, unforgiving world where one slip up will kill you. However, she soon begins to wonder who the real enemy is. They say the Pandora of ancient myth opened her box and doomed humanity, but can this Pandora save it? P.S. 3010, the world isn't the same as you remember it. It's been taking over by the radiation poisoning from many plants, and factories. The sky isn't the beautiful blue, in fact it's a gloomy grey all the time. In some places, it's even tinted green. The world is so contaminated, that everyone is forced to wear gas masks, and you're lucky if you haven't been affected by it. What the chemicals do to many people and animals who didn't take the time to wear their gas masks is a horror. It's like a nightmare that has come true. 16 year olds, Jaylynn and Luke are both struggling to survive in this dangerous world. When they meet in a refuge camp, this changes their lives and everything they've ever hoped for. HOPE
It was a bright, summer day. Mr. and Mrs. Evans were both in the hospital, ready to give birth. But they were really scared. It's their first child so Mrs. Evans was really afraid of how it might go. "It's okay, honey. It'll be okay." Mr. Evans tried to reassure his wife, stroking her head soothingly. "But what if the baby comes upside down? What if there's something wrong with her? What if it hurts?" She asked questions so quickly that Mr. Evans doesn't even have time to answer any of them. "The baby will be fine. Don't worry. It won't hurt as well. It'll be over before you even know it." But no matter what he said, she was shaking with fear and panic. The doctor came towards them. "Do we have a name for her?" She asks as they wait for a contraction. Mr. Evans looked between the doctor and his wife before answering, "Actually, we haven't-" "Hope" Mrs. Evans looked up at him, smiling. "Hope Evans." ~~*~~ Hope Evans lost more in her life at such a young age. She lost every dream she has ever had, lost everything she held dearly and she lost everyone she ever loved. She had to begin all over again. Only to be fallen right back down. Will she be happy again? Will she be able to dream again? But most importantly, will she be able to love again? Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
