After the titans breach Wall Maria she goes to stay with the mother of the soldier whom saved her, and after some time and thinking she enlists in the military. Her journey only begins there, for she soon after catches sight of the 13th Commander of the Scouting Legion, Irvin Smith. She changes her mind from joining the Stationary guard to the Recon Corps. She soon regrets the hasty decision she has made. After all, there is a barrier that seems to separate them. There couldn't be a chance for their relationship to go on, could there?

This is the first time I've written a story like this, however I feel that I should explain some plot points since I did try to stick as close to the anime canon as possible but there are a few things I'd like to clear up first.
