Ever since she was a child, (F/N) (L/N) has dreamed of becoming a weapon at the DWMA. She wouldn't have gotten this far without her closest friend, Roseclere Ayesa, her partner in this dream. While (F/N) has never told her friend the reasons why she wants to become a weapon, that hasn't stopped them from getting there. Now, as students at the prestigious academy (F/N) and Roseclere must learn about what it truly takes to become a meister and weapon duo. (F/N) knows she is in over her head with this endeavor, but with the help of a young shinigami (F/N) may be able to achieve her dream and silence the demons from her dark past once and for all.

Death Weapon Meister Academy, commonly referred to as the DWMA. It's not your typical school, as it's seen as the last line of defense to prevent the demons known as Kishin from plunging humanity into chaos. Within the DWMA, there lies a certain part that not only keeps humanity safe, but also keeps Meisters and Weapons in check. For one DWMA student, this has been personal. Now, he faces taking on the task of bringing criminal Meisters and Weapons to justice alone, as the other members had retired due to graduating. This is Joseph's story, and how he cemented himself as the DWMA's Top Enforcer.
Tales From the GMATY: The Soul Eater Division 1. Soul Eater
The Soul Eater Division is the story of Detective Soul Eater, a Death Scythe who is yet unable to transform into a Scythe. She's the leader of her team, Cobra, Juggernaut, Blue Star, and Hex. She and all of her team mates were once disciples at the GMATY, an academy created by the Grim Reaper, Dr. Death, to keep Demons from escaping into the Human World and wreak havoc. People are not picked at random to attend the academy--they have to have special blood, called deshi blood. The disciples attend the academy for ten years, from six to sixteen, and from there they can choose to become a police officer, a detective on a team of five, join the military, or the special forces. Soul Eater is a Death Scythe. Death Scythes have the ability to, after devouring a certain number of Demon and witch souls to transform into a Scythe and be wielded by someone who they can match their soul wavelengths with. There are only 13 Death Scythes, and only five of them have mastered the ability to become a weapon, including Soul's father, Vim. Soul's goal in life is to surpass God, and become an unstoppable Death Scythe. Dr. Death assigns Soul and her team to find a Hybrid--a human who has strayed from the pure soul to eat the souls of humans and transform into a Demon--and it comes to their attention that the Hybrid is being created by a powerful witch named Abelinda. Soul Eater and her team, along with Death's fifteen year old son, Grim the Kid, set out for Story, Wyoming where Abelinda and the Hybrid are hiding out. There they discover that Abelinda turned her own son, Yasha, into a Hybrid, and a raging battle ensues. Abelinda and Yasha escape, and Soul and her team are forced to return back to the GMATY empty-handed. But Abelinda is planning something sinister, and there is something in Soul that Grim sees...that may not be a good thing.Complete

It was just another day in Death City. DWMA was up and about living life to the fullest. Maka's team was yet again assigned a special mission by no one other than Dr. Stein. HOWEVER, Soul has pulled away from Maka and was being controlled by a Kishin. The continuous one-sided battle forced the rest of the meisters to retreat. While Lord Death, Spirit, and Stein tried to find a way to locate Soul, the team had to control Maka's reckless behavior of the weaponless meister. For some reason, Kid was the only one who could get through to her. They all decided to let Maka stay at Kid's place for a while. Kid didn't seem to mind, until he starts realizing what he truly feels towards her. Will Kid tell Maka what she means to him? Will Maka remain weaponless?
