Carly is going crazy.
She has already asked her friends and they both laughed as if she was joking when she asked if they could see the icicles hanging from the ceiling, rapidly closing in on her, or if they could see the hallways melt into flowers, so she had to assume that they couldn't see it.
She seems to be stuck between reality and her dream world.
But she appears to be losing grasp of both worlds. What will happen when she does?
Will she die?
How can she master her craziness and pass as a normal teenage girl?
All these questions are circulating around her head when a new boy comes to her neighborhood, and he can see what she can.
