"The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And there is one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission." - John F. Kennedy When my mother first told me that quote by JFK, which is now the motto for our US Military, I was like 6. How was I supposed to know what it meant. But now that I've grown into my adult brain, it's as clear as the night sky. My name is Josephine Pierce, and this is the story of how I lost everything, to gain next to nothing. At a young age, Josephine Pierce and five others like her were submitted to a subject testing facility specializing in research and development of 'gifted' children. Separated from their families, these six young adults are subjected to strenuous tests and training, shaping their minds and bodies, and perfecting their control over their own personal abilities. Little did they know the test facilitators are using their special DNA to create something new, strong, and powerful. Over the course of several years, Jo and the others learn of the facility's plans and decide to take matters into their own hands. However, if they manage to escape the walls of Bay Six, they have no idea how much the outside world has changed. The only question; is the freedom worth the fight, when you're not sure what awaits you on the other side? All Rights Reserved
