Demi gets bullied in school by the popular kids everyday, her father left after her mom died three years ago and he hasn't come back yet. And she blames herself for her mothers death and for her dad leaving. She was forced to grow up at a young age. She doesn't let herself get close to anybody because she's scared they will leave her just like her father did. She just doesn't care anymore.

Justin is the new kid he also gets bullied but not like Demi, he just gets picked on because he is new. His dad died last year after that he has kept to himself he pushes people away and doesn't let anybody in. He thinks its better to be alone so that way you can't get hurt. He just really doesn't care about anything or anyone anymore.

Until that one day when Justin and Demi become friends and everything changes.
