Most movies and books, especially the godfather, portray gangsters (or mobsters) as intimidating figures that are always confident and happy. While some criminals have worn the belt of crime pretty well, the truth is, the life of crime is rough, terrifying, and it will change your mindset forever. The book's purpose is to give you an insight of one teen that later becomes a criminal. The mentality of the teen changes overtime, and eventually, he's battered down to an evil and angry criminal.
