We all know the story of Cinderella, right? The evil step-family the fairy godmother, the glass slippers, and midnight, right? Well, this is the story of Danielle. She wants NOTHING to do with the prince, and all she did was put on a mask that The Witch gave her, and vòila, she was set. But the prince is intrigued by this less than interested girl he met at the ball, and all he wants to do is find her. Danielle loses her shoe at the ball, while running away. So begins a world-wide woman-hunt for "the girl who fits the shoe".

All I wanted from tonight was to sneak out of the ball to read in the castle's grand library and suddenly the prince is guiding me to safety even though he's the one they're after. In the morning we find out that the Light of the Realms was stolen and the castle is on lock down. All the guests from the ball must be tested to see who committed the crime and to top it off the Light of the Realms was what kept this kingdom safe and without it armies are moving in. Will we find the Light of the Realms before it is to late? Will the prince be ready to lead this kingdom into war if he has to? This is a sweet middle grade/ young adult romance.
