Cursed: Immortal
(Ancients: Book 1) Being immortal and being unable to die are two reasons for Scarlet Evans to be in a severely bad mood. Added to it is the fact that she has to babysit a teenager who could, or could not, destroy the world in an unprovoked tantrum. At nine thousand years old, you'd think she would have learnt by now- "You little-" Fine, fine, I won't spoil the story for your dear readers. Sheesh. However, I am compelled to warn you that this book contains a lot of swearing (a LOT), as well as deplorable behaviour and the occasional violent outburst. "Hey!" Okay, fine, I'll stop now. *** "I am so sick of saving the world now, why can't someone else have the pleasure? Why do I have to be the saviour of the earth while most of its inhabitants don't even know I've gone and saved it? I've spent most of my existence looking after the mortal realm, and I hate it. I don't know why they can't just destroy themselves and get it over with."Complete
Seamless Silver
A young woman (who loves latex a little too much ... if there is such a thing) finds herself confronted with circumstances beyond her control that forcefully alter her life forever. Written 2004-11-28, revised 2018-07-08. This is pretty much my first story, so it's not quite sophisticated. But there's some fun to be found for sure. "And she felt how incredibly relaxed her body was, like she had never been under stress or fear in her whole life. She had been reformatted, reinstalled with a new operating system. What had happened to her, how could it be that she had been transformed into a being of pure free bliss? What had she done, who had decided for that? Could this be just an accident? ... Could she stay like this? Please?" "While the girl came through the mental purge process quite well, I would not call her a simple mind. She just had not filled her heart with fear and hate through her life, so it was not too hard for her to become totally silent inside. I am so damn happy, I can't tell you how much. She agreed to stay, she sees her situation from my point of view. The world is not ready for her, not yet."Complete

Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder."
