What happens when a programmer edits a game's files, only to have a power outage appear to cause more damage?

By answering a plea for help from a character within the corrupted game's world, you find yourself playing a game no longer confined to the code as written. Will you be able to fix the game's world and save your virtual friends? Or will it ultimately be lost to the grasp of a living anomaly?
