They speak of living by the sword, of a knight's honour, they speak about legendary leaders with legendary swords, but you see, they mostly are just arrogant asses who got their hands on something a smith worked at for days and months even, A knight's honour? Cheaper than a brothel's room, it's armour? Just something to keep his big head and rich ass from getting filled with arrows on a battlefield , how about its sword , isn't it supposed to protect the weak and bring justice? Surprise! It's used to kill people, like that farmer who wouldn't let his daughter get raped by the lord of the land, or the drunkard who spoke the truth, instead of looking at the killers, how about we look at the makers?

Trials of Gideon Book 1: The Cursed Blade by kullman
17 parts Complete
Gideon Saint is usually in trouble. It's his pastime to get involved in epic quests throughout history, namely the Middle Ages. Once again, he's run afoul of the Templars, and ancient organization of Wizards. This time, they are offering him the chance to right old wrongs, by retrieving a mysterious cursed blade. 1403 awaits. Sequel Series to Last Knights of Cambia series, and the Days of the Dead trilogy, ergo it contains spoilers for those. Similar narrative style and tone, that is if you want English history explained like Lemony Snicket, then this is for you. Ahem. Living people die, dead people live. Swords. Epic Battles. Mysterious riddles. Coded messages. True love. Traitors. Murder. Found families. Yes, Henry V is here and he is awesome. Did we mention swords? Tombs are described in loving detail. People are not. Yes you may learn something about the battle of Shrewsberry but that's a risk you're going to have to take. Content/Trigger Warning: A battle is depicted at length, relatively graphic blood/gore associated with that. A character is injured severely and must twice undergo surgery on page, this is fairly graphic and may be disturbing to some readers. Brief innuendo. Some brief strong language. Some mild sexuality. Catholicism is discussed. All disturbing scenes are usually forewarned, that is it's clear what is going to happen. Some brief peril. Some light disturbing humor relating to murder. PG-13 quality stuff, be aware of your mental state and seek support as needed.

Long ago, when the world was young and humanity struggled against the forces of chaos, the gods intervened. They forged a sword, not as a weapon of destruction, but as a gift of hope. Each god poured a fragment of their essence into it-courage, wisdom, resilience, and strength. It's a sword meant for everything possible. For centuries, the blade lay hidden, waiting for the right moment to be discovered. It wasn't buried in gold or locked away in a grand vault-it rested quietly in the heart of the earth, untouched and unseen, until the time was right. When the first hand grasped the hilt, the sword came alive. Its surface shimmered with an otherworldly glow, a promise of the power within. The one who found it didn't know the gods had shaped it, nor did they understand the weight of what they held. But the sword recognized them. It responded to their strength, their resolve, and their needs. As the blade cut through the darkness for the first time, it wasn't just its edge that brought change. It was the force behind it-the will to fight for survival, for something greater than fear. With every swing, the sword grew brighter, stronger, as if it fed not on blood but on purpose. Though the gods forged the blade, it wasn't theirs anymore. In that moment, it became part of humanity, a bond between the divine and mortal worlds. And for the one who wielded it, the sword was more than steel and magic-it was a companion, a guide, and a silent promise: you are not alone. Thus began the sword's journey, not just as a tool of battle, but as a symbol of what humanity could become. And though its path was just beginning, the gods knew it would go on, far beyond what even they could imagine. (this is my very first novel. I got my inspiration from a nail clipper)
Mercenary Work by Master_Sora
9 parts Complete
Mercenary Work Book #1 "My world and your's are complete opposites. Your's consists of men that follow the rules, do as their told, and stay within the boundaries of reality. Mine is quite different. Men kill for money, murder for fun and are loyal to no one. I am one of these men, you will most likely find me repulsive. Though I've heard that there are men in your world that are just like me. I find that hard to believe, I am much worse." The Court Of Mercenaries. They are all both men and women of any race. For the right price, they will do next to anything. Recognizable by the sheet metal hung around their necks. Each Mercenary holds a name and a necklace of their own design. Five out of the thousands of Mercenaries there are, hold a special stone with them, at all times. They are to make sure that the Mercenaries, stay Mercenaries. Rule one and the most important of five: Do not kill anyone not affiliated with the job at hand, "We are Mercenaries, not murderers". Jackson, a Mercenary, been one since he was very young. He is a man that has gained, and earned, respect, to the highest degree. If someone doesn't know who he is, they'll learn. Very, quickly. So will you. So first things first I love being vague so if you don't understand what I'm talking about or something it will probably be explained later so stay with me. Secondly first chapter is complete shite, I would change it but I'm lazy and it sets up my characters so I'm not just gonna delete it. So read the first chapter for the plot and please continue to the second if you still don't like my writing then you can leave, that's all I'm asking. So that's all I got to say so I'm gonna get on with it. Also I swear a fuck ton so if you don't like swearing get out.
