Matt Drew completely fell apart junior year.  After his parents walked in on him cutting, they sent him off to a mental hospital filled with troubled teens.  There he meets a mysterious schizophrenic and her friends who help him navigate through the struggles of living with mental illness.  They encounter love, loss, and suffering that not all of them can manage to survive.  Poetry is death and death is poetry.

I'm an 18 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy, depression and anxiety. I'm a British Hipster Punk Fuck who has dreams of happiness and independence. Living with my difficulties can be saddening and difficult so to cope I draw (follow my Instagram: alex_likes_airguns) and write poems apparently! The interest in writing is fairly new and I have no idea how to really write enjoyable things. I'm an illustrator by trade so this whole writing stuff is new to me, apologies for bad grammar. This notwithstanding I needed somewhere to store my poems so this book and my account now exists I guess! Enjoy!

This is a place for me to put all the things I wish I said but I just couldn't. These are a way for me to "say" these things without actually saying them to the person I want to. I probably won't ever go back or read any of these because it's like revisiting a bad memory so don't expect much in terms of editing. Also I wouldn't consider this poetry but it is laid out that way. WARNING Talk of depression, suicide, anxiety, and self harm. Don't read if you don't like things like that and may get triggered. (In editing) She's depressed. She's anorexic. She's suicidal. She's insecure. Abigail has grown up with her three brothers and James, never meeting her parents, who abandoned her at birth. Her brothers were left to take care of her and keep a roof over their heads. Everyday they struggle to take care of Abigail, while working to keep them in their home. Life for them is hard. Life for Abigail is even harder. She has a dark mind and not by choice. Somewhere along the way she's developed these feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. Everyday is a struggle for her and just getting out of bed is a success. She meets Zach, a bad boy with a bad reputation. He starts off as a tutor, just to help her out, out of pity. But eventually feelings get involved and Abigail finds herself liking a boy for the first time in her life. Things get serious and she somehow learns about his drug dealing business. Everything gets hectic and Abigail doesn't know what to do with her life anymore. Or if she even wants to live.

(i had to update the description it was so cringe) poetry. its like the definition of wearing your heart on your sleeve, except its writing it on your fingertips and breathing it in and out. this is a collection of poems i've written, earliest being from 2020 and then just updating whenever i write something ! the first like 10-15, possibly 20 are bad but once you go on it gets better, once you reach mid-2022 youre good and then 2023 onward youre awesomesauce (once i stopped capitalizing titles i got better just 90% go off of that) highest rankings: #1 in poems (November 10th, 2021) #14 in poetry (April 28th, 2022)
