During the medieval times, vampires were known as demons from hell. They were hunted and killed, nearly exterminating their entire species. Then in the late 1800s, they were simply hunted for sport. Kind of like fishing, it wasn't important, just a pastime. During the 1950s to the early 2000s, vampires didn't even exist, just a fantasy made up by desperate book writers and silly teenage girls who dreamed of sparkling pale men with a thirst for their blood.

Now, however, in 2063, vampires practically rule the world. Their aren't a lot of them so to speak, but the ones that do exist are very powerful. Most of the presidents and other high powers are open vampires. Hell, even I work for one. I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Zero Kiryu, and I have a very big secret. Two really, one is that I absolutely hate vampires. Despise them, even. I'm one of those 'assholes' as they say, that patrol at night to keep rogues at bay. My other secret, well even vampires don't know that one.

I happen to be a vampire myself; I just have a very powerful seal on me. Only downside to that seal, is that it would be broken if even one little bitty drop of my blood was shed. I'd made it this far, but what happens when I get too careless?

Boyxboy, strong language and opinions. I don't own anything but the story line!

Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights. Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled. Some people still believed in god and had faith in him, I didn't know what I believed in but I prayed like everyone else that I would get through another day without hearing the soul crushing word 'Mate'. I'm a vampire hunter. Nothing is more important than keeping humans safe from the things that haunt their nightmares. It's what I was born to do. So when I hear that a body has turned up that looks a lot like bodies from a previous hunt, I fly to investigate. There's just two problems. One is that I killed the vampire responsible for those deaths. The second? The new body turned up in the home country of the one man who can ignite my temper faster than anyone else. Just when I think it couldn't get any worse, a simple touch has my demon claiming that he is my mate. Things just got a whole lot more complicated. Tall, curvy, brunette with hazel eyes that change from almost totally green to deep brown depending on her mood, she is the one woman that has me wanting to shake her one moment and kiss her senseless the next. She's the one woman I can never have, and the only one I truly want. But when a body turns up that looks like the bodies from a case of hers, I have no choice but to call her in to help find the killer. On top of that, the touch of her hand on my arm is enough for my demon to start claiming her as my mate. Then as if things weren't already complicated enough, I find out that I have a daughter when her mother is killed and the child's rescuers find me. So now I have to get to know my daughter, convince my mate to accept me, and deal with a demon that has a one track mind about protecting its mate, even though she can look after herself way better than I can. All while tracking down a vampire that thinks I killed her sister and is out for revenge. Piece of cake. Right?

There once was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good she was very, very good, but when she was bad, she was horrid. Ok admittedly I don't have a curl, and I don't plan on being horrid. I plan to be their worst fucking nightmare. They took the love of my life from me, and they have broken me more than any of their previous attempts could ever dream to. But the jokes on them. My pain is my gain, and I will use it to destroy them. I will solve the prophecy and end this ridiculous power struggle. I will watch their blood fall to the swing of my sword, and I will do it with a smile on my face. My only concern is what will be left of me once the bodies fall. My inner darkness is a crazy, bloodthirsty bitch that enjoys wreaking havoc. I'm not sure that's quite what the Fate's had in mind as their champion and future queen. Meh, fuck it. Let the chips fall where they may. This is the final book in the Pieces of Me trilogy. This is not a stand-alone. Please note this is a reverse harem/ why choose book. Please read the trigger warnings inside. Explicit content R18 readers.
