Jamie and Emily spent summers together on the beaches of Victoria, B.C., Canada. For 11 years forts where built with blankets out on the sand dunes, lunches were eaten on various docked sail boats at the Marina, and buried in sand was a common way to wake from a nap. Candy bracelets were their promise rings and seagulls were their wedding doves. Flashlights shone through bedroom windows as the early morning hours circled by, and they would find themselves coming home, a little late, and a little in love, and completely inseparable.
They say the first 48 hours are crucial in finding a kidnapping victim alive; after this long, you can see why it was time to move on.

The Golden 30 Last Seconds "0 minutes and 59 seconds." I say out loud. They all look at me, confused. "That's how long I have before they come. I'm sorry I didn't ell you earlier, Brook and Blake."
