A short story I had to write for English based on the book 'Boys of Blood and Bone' by David Metzenthen.
Andy was heading off for war, but Cecelia felt hurt that he was leaving her alone. Because of this, Cecelia had been avoiding Andy, but she needed to see him before he went. So she bought a diary and went to his house to say farewell.

He woke up in a hospital, doesn't know why he's there, doesn't know who he is, doesn't even know how he got there, and he's got a real bad headache. He's got a head wound the size of a baseball, he can't see with his right eye, and no matter how hard he tries, he can't get a straight answer for anything, except that mineshaft workers found him crystalized and immediately flew him to the 'hospital.' Nobody could figure out how long he was in the crystal, and the only thing he could remember was his name. I really hope you enjoy! Like my previous books, I haven't gotten a cover for it but I'm working on it:)
