Kat's life is just horrible. Her father died in the war of the Separation and she has a feeling her brother will too and they are barely surviving since her mother got fired from her job. Kat's just wondering: can things get any worse?
Well things can.
Mason has a mental illness and doctors have finally found a medicine to cure him. And that's great but...when Kat comes into the hospital all he could think of is how sad she looked wheeling in her brother and he forgets all about his treatment. He wants to help her.
Meridel accidentally did something bad and she will do anything to cover up her tracks. But will she succeed or will she pay the price?
When these worlds collide there is only one question: Is it for better or worse?
