Where The Sky Begins (poetry)

"Everything starts and everything ends."

Those five words were shoved in our heads.

We're told nothing lasts and we're told it will all pass, but I believe in a love that lasts.

So I told the people who taught me this way, "You say that everything ends and the day turns to night. But the end of the sky is always out of sight. So if everything has a start and a finish, tell me where the sky begins."
