Meeting Again

"I hope this isn't the last time I'll see you again, Mads," he whispers in my ear, making me tingle with excitement. He grabs me from around the waist holding me close. I can sense his bright hazel eyes filling with tears. I turn to see a tear slowly drop down his cheek, leaving a stain. I wipe away the tear.

"I'll miss this," I choke out. He holds me close again but this time I can't get out of his grip.

"Me too. I'll always remember you Maddy, but promise me, you have to move on. No matter how hard it is. Promise me this, I will always love you." He whispers. His beautiful mop of brown hair covers his forehead. His soft warm eyes with light specks of green tell me it's ok to let go.

"I promise, I promise," I cry. He take my hands into his and starts to dance humming Summertime Sadness. We dance in the moonlight.

"I promise, I promise, I promise," I whisper to myself over and over again.

I will never forget that night. That dark starry night with the full moon.
