Told in the point of veiw of three sisters- Genevieve (Evie), Calliope(Callie), and Penelope(Penny).
Ever since the girl's dad left their mom, things have been crazy. Their mom had always been depressed, but it got worse, until finally, one day she left. It's been nearly a year, and Genevieve is so close to her eighteen birthday. The only thing she wants is a mother. What she gets is Theo.
Calliope is fifteen. Although she doesn't want to think about it, she's pretty sure she's depressed like her mother. But she's actually kind of okay with it. It gives her an excuse to dress like she does, act like she does. She starves herself. Cuts herself. As long as Genevieve doesn't find out, it'll be okay.
Penelope is eleven. She adores her sisters, but she's scared. Her memories of her mom are slipping away. And she misses her dad, who she barely remembers. She needs her beloved Evie to help, but Evie's too worried about, well everything.
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
