In futuristic North America, science has taken a huge leap into the world of genetic alteration. It has grown so important to society that people donate themselves and their loved ones to various tests and experiments, all at the risk of their lives and their sanity.

Human-Canine Experimentation, Test 8064 has lived all of her life in various hospitals and laboratories, facing extreme physical and mental trials every day. The half-human, half-canine shape-shifter can cope with these almost easily as she tries to plan ways to escape, but only one thing stands in her way. There is a key factor in her life that she has somehow forgotten, almost as if she can’t access more than half of her intelligent brain. More and more memories come back to her every day, but as they appear randomly in her head she starts feeling like she hasn’t been made in a test tube… but she has, hasn’t she? At least, that’s what the scientists say. Unanswered sentences and thoughts haunt her day and night and just as she is on the brink of going insane, the scientists do something unbelievable—they let 8064 go.

But nothing’s as simple as that.

More knowledge of the outside world suddenly comes back to her, faster than she would like, and terrible things start happening that no one can even begin to explain. 8064 is in the middle of it, and something tells her that the danger comes from a source only she remembers.

But how can she remember if she doesn't know who she is, where she came from, or who knew her, or what she has done?

What does she know, and how can she know it again?
