Run Way Bride

He slowly strides his feet to where I stand. My heart beat rapidly increases for some reason. He comes forth and I instantly stride backwards. Before he could stop, I stop as I reach the wall. He leans forward, "don't get too happy. This is to see how much you are affected by our proximity."

I push him away lightly.

"You can't come near me. This was not part of our deal," I try to snap back but my voice didn't carry that effect. He has no right to know about my sudden increasing pulses.

"You are my wife," he defends. I scoff at his words.

Wife? Yeah right!

Ignoring him, I walk around him to sit on the sofa. But before I could fully sit, he pulls my arm harshly and I collide with his body. He narrows his eyes at me, I stare back in his eyes; I could see anger.

"Don't you ever ignore me," he says as he twists my arm. I try to jerk my arm away but his hold is just too tight.

"Let me go...you are hurting me," I manage to whisper as I moan in pain. He still doesn't loosen his grip.

"Zachariah!"

With my other hand, I push him away as hard as I could. He falls back a little but since my other arm is in his grasp, he drags me along him and together we fall backwards on the sofa, my head bumps against his chest.

My heart beat increases because of our proximity. I try to get up but he pulled me back on him. My hair loosely coming off from my bun. I stay still as he looks at me, my eyes wandering everywhere but at him. He pulls my chin with his finger up to his face level; my heart knew no bounds as it started to thump more loudly.

My eyes focuses on his eyes as we continue to stare at each other. With his hand on my chin, he moves up to slowly caress my cheek and in return i shut my eyes as my cheeks become red from blushing.

"You are blushing," he whispers. My eyes shot open as I hear exactly what I didn't want him to know; me being affected by him.
