Prologue

June 6, 1944
The Allied forces carried out a major amphibious landing operation on German-occupied Normandy.
Jackal still remembers that day quite vividly.
Bombers were covering the sky, the burning grounds, and burnt bodies that were scorched to the point of unrecognition.
In that hellish reality,
in order to save his life savior,
in order to stay alive,
and in order to survive the war,
he eventually reached out and grabbed his gun.
When the coldness of the trigger touched his finger, the instinct of the hunter roaming around Mt. Baekdu stirred up.
"I can't die in a place like this. My mother...I have to meet my mother!"
This was the moment the legend of the "Devil of Cherbourg" began.
And on July 1944, the allied forces set an enormous price on the Devil of Cherbourg. Dead or alive.
However, even after the war had ceased, no one knew the whereabouts of the man who had put fear into the minds of the entire allied forces. Even to this day.

The Life Of A German Soldier by kmcclure109
48 parts Complete
(Still correcting for errors!) The German soldier goes through many things during his time at war, love, horror, and fear. But every soldier of any side knows that there's only one way out. He'll have to survive the new technologies of warfare. A soldier's greatest strength is bravery and moral that grows and lives in the soul. Soldiers test their strength in battle, the strong ones die as the weak ones run. War is an experience that is limited. We all don't know what it's really like. When you look at a soldier that has been at war, you can see it, its written on their faces and engraved in their eyes. A World War Two fiction story about a young man named Albert Schroeder, a twenty one year old German soldier of the Wehrmacht, has been sent to Western Russia to fight the Soviet Union in the summer of June 1944. In military training in Northern Germany, he meets another soldier named Kurt Smith. Kurt has been his friend since military training until his death in a battle against the Soviets during the early night. After Kurt's death, Albert faces many problems with another death of one of Kurt's friends from high school, Ralph Schäfer that he had just met. Albert will then be taken to a place many soldiers of his kind have gone before, a Russian P.O.W camp and might stay there for most of the war until it is over or will Albert try to escape during the night and go on a huge journey back to Germany? The Golden Soldier (Call of Duty: WW2 Fanfiction) by brontideandsough
50 parts Complete Mature
Avaline Baker is a young woman on a camping trip with friends when she decides to go into a museum that will change her life forever. Somehow transported into the future, Ava finds herself at the barrel tip of Nazi German soldier. Transported to their camp as prisoner, Ava is lost and confused as to what, where, and who she is with...the how part is the most antagonizing. Shortly after being saved by two American men, Ava discovers she's been placed at the center of World War Two. Surrounded by warfare and American men who have strict mindsets about women in the the 1940's, the 21-year-old feels like she has no hope of surviving. To even have a chance, Ava has to prove that just because she's a woman, doesn't mean she isn't capable of fighting to survive like the rest of them. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own. Hopefully, with careful and calculating steps, Ava will survive the blistering cold winters, the first-hand experience of a war, and developing a difficult bond with the men of 1st Platoon. --•--•--•-- This is a work of fan-fiction, which means I don't own practically anything. Except for Aveline Baker and some scenes. Will be based off of/follow the campaign. This work has content pertaining to difficult aspects of WW2 including blood and gore; swearing/harsh language; sexual/crude comments and actions; German POW camps; etc. Please DO NOT READ if you aren't comfortable or have too strong opinions on things related to WW2. It's a fictional story and, thus, should be treated like it. On flip side, there will humor. Especially from Zussman- we all like him. And don't forget moments from hardass Pierson...those will get interesting too. ;) ~Started on September 1st, 2018~ ~Finished September 1st, 2019~

Allen Walker(NOT FROM D-GRAYMAN), a 13 year old boy with a dream to become a warrior, just like his Father Argon Walker. And 4 childhood friends will gather together and reclaim what was once theirs. Wonderful tales about adventures and battles against the Empire of Gallamine... But this was not one of those heroic times. The messenger was a soldier of the King, bearing a Blue cloak with a Gold insignia of the King, The Mighty Blue Dragon, on his hands. Allen's mother covered her face with grief and ran inside the house. Allen wanted to cry, but he kept a brave face. His lower lip wouldn't stop trembling. As he extended his hands for the cloak, the messenger unveiled his hoodie and underneath was his Uncle Waller with tears and red nose. Allen ran and hugged him. Not letting him go, thinking he too would suddenly disappear. "Allen... Please take this inside." Said Waller, "I will come back when we have done the ceremony for his burial." Waller kneeled down with his arms extended, offering Allen his fathers cloak. "But... Uncle Waller. What-" I started crying, but kept a brave face. "I understand Uncle *Sniff* I will be brave for the family and Mom." I took the cloak from his hands, and something clicked inside my head. A voice came through to my head, more a whisper than a normal voice. Uncle Waller stood up and walked away. I embraced the cloak, my tears falling on it, as I remembered my fathers scent. "I don't know what happened... But I promise you this Father, I will find the person who did this to you, and make it pay for taking you away from our family". I swore with anger burning in my heart. "I must grow strong, just like Father, Uncle and Grandpa... I will become The strongest Warrior there ever was, you will see Father..." I walked back inside the house. "Allen... You have promise..." Said the whisper, "I will help you grow strong, and get Revenge..." Said the voice with sadness, "You are a very special Kid".
IRON HAND (BOOK ONE): FOR THE GREATER GOOD by LowHale
18 parts Ongoing Mature
"Iron Hand" begins in the throes of what most stories would consider the final battle. Buren, leading the "Seekers of the Artifact," utilizes the power of the Gauntlet, an ancient artifact for which he sacrificed his own arm and triumphs over the dark lord, ending the undead scourge plaguing the lands. Without a foe to unify them, the alliance of various racial, religious, and political factions begins to unravel. Reluctant negotiations result in an uneasy peace that leaves many dissatisfied, especially Buren. Now feared and distrusted for the power of the Gauntlet, Buren finds no respite. Dark visions he believes to be warnings from the Gauntlet haunt his dreams. However, his fears are dismissed as the delusions of a war-weary mind. Determined to confront this new threat, Buren follows his visions to an ancient mountain, located within the sacred grounds of the Dryads. The distrustful Dryads deny him access. Out of options, Buren infiltrates the Faith, a fanatical human supremacist religious order, becoming their enforcer, their "Iron Hand." As Buren travels, we delve into the backstories of the "Seekers of the Artifact," witnessing his navigation through a treacherous web of intrigue where trust is a luxury he cannot afford. The realm suffers under a despotic king, with whom Buren must ally on the surface, while secretly plotting his downfall. The situation is further complicated by his arranged marriage to a woman harboring her own dark secrets. Literary heroes sacrifice everything for others, but what happens when saving the world requires sacrifices from everyone? When do the ends cease to justify the means?. What if saving the world involves sacrificing innocents, betraying loved ones, and allying with despised enemies? "Iron Hand" is a story of a man who gave everything to save the world once and is now prepared to do so again, even if it means crossing lines he never thought he would. But will he still be hailed as a hero?

Strands of your mind cling together like web to a slippery leaf bathed in the morning dew. You have seen both heaven and hell, witnessed the atrocities of war firsthand, and imagined a better life in the deepest, most intimate corners of your dreaming spirit. The wishes for peace and certainty you have once so desperately longed for, now lay trampled underneath the might of your mind's vivid horrors. What was once so bright and lively, now cowers in fear, clinging to gone memories like a shipwreck survivor to some lowly piece of driftwood. From the depths of hell, you arrived victorious, grasping the laurel wreath high above your head. Unrecognizable, with your empty eyes telling a story of innocence brutally taken away from the child curling in shame in the depths of your empty soul. Almost green you are, curly head, having grown up with a rifle by your bedside table, never knowing peace and quiet. Out of the pan that was the Kazdel Civil War and into the scorching flames of Lungmen, where life flows by on its own accord, here, you must learn to live once more. So put on your best facade, Let the reuniting trumpets ring a wild, And allow the city to swallow you whole. Here we are, a continuation of my previous work "Goodbye Curly Head", which sprawled into quite the epistle (but it wasn't really a letter, it's just long :P). Summarized in the most basic way possible, it's a story about a twenty-year-old Kazdel Civil War veteran who goes to Lungmen and has some troubles acclimating to the steady life presented before him. Sprinkle in a too-good-to-be-true offer and a freshly established logistics company, and you get Andy trying to make it big for as long as his deteriorating mental state lets him. I'd say it works as a standalone story for anyone who doesn't want to bother reading the first part. For now, at least. As always, please, pwwease leave a comment, positive, negative, I LOOOVE reading and replying to comments!!
