Adrian's had a tougher life than most. After losing his mother at the tender age of seven, he was cycled in and out of numerous foster homes, until he finally landed in a group home at the age of twelve. There, he developed feelings for a fellow orphan; he fell fast, he fell hard, and he got his heart trampled. With nowhere else to go, and no one else to turn to, he becomes a meek, quiet young man, with little hope of ever being adopted. But, at the age of fourteen, a kind-hearted man named Jeremy takes him in and puts him back on track.

During his years in high school, the boy finds his niche in journalism, and decides to pursue a degree and a career in the field. Things are finally looking up for him. He's half way to attaining his associate's, and well on his way to something better. But he'll soon be thrown a curve ball that not even he could have seen coming when he receives a letter, addressed from a phantom from his past.
