When Francis dies, his wife at his side, they enter the after-life together. However, Alexandra won't wake up. Francis wants to take her with him, but it's as if she is glued to ground. Erin, an old rival of Francis, shows up and forces him to return to the village from which she lives. With that, he is forced to join the resistance of this place without his wife.
Francis is determined to take her back from the clutches of the Kitreboin society, known as the Parasites, who are under the control of Adam. However, once again, Erin gets in the way. She is the leader of the resistance, known as the Pentacle.
Will Francis ever be reunited with his wife, Alexandra? Or will she be forever brainwashed by this society and be known as the girl with wasted potential, Ivy?

I would like to thank @GraphicsNation for the new cover, specifically the individual who created it @cloud9_forever. They did an amazing job, and I would definitely recommend them. I do not mean cloud9 as an individual, but them as a team. I have seen some of all of their work, and I can say that they do an amazing job. So, thanks again.

Update: I have started a playlist for this book. Starting with the first chapter (not the prologue), I will add one song to go with one chapter. If you would like to find it, look up "The Dark" on Spotify and find the playlists. Hopefully you enjoy it!
