After an amusing banter at the library with a mysterious guy, Savannah hopes that it's the last she'll see of the bickering boy. Come to find out, he's a new student at her school who just so happens to be a junior, much like Savannah.

He feels the need to stick around her even though she is the target for childish rumors, gave him the wrong number purposely, has all the comebacks for his pickup lines, tried to run him over with her car, constantly embarrasses him, and repeatedly tells him to 'get lost' or 'shove off.' During their many adventures, not only do they get into many bad situations but they make a few enemies along the way.

Will his determination to befriend this stubborn girl spark a friendship between the two or a special kind of hatred?

He lowered his head towards me, a cocky grin spreading across his lips as he raked his eyes across my body before landing them back on mine. I clicked my tongue in annoyance before averting my eyes, ignoring the blush that threatened to run across my cheeks. "You give me serious Heebie-Jeebies." "Love you too, McCoy." •---------• 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐌𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐘―――is determined to start her last year of high school on a clean slate, all she wants to do is graduate and leave Manhattan, New York in the past. In order to do that, she needs to complete her twenty numbered list of things that she wants to accomplish before graduating. On number two of that list stands 'HAVE MY FIRST KISS!" in big bold letters, and that is exactly what she wants to do―no, accomplish. Mara has her senior year all planned out, from hopefully finishing all of her volunteer hours to becoming valedictorian, she knows exactly what she wants and what she has to do to get it―the only thing she doesn't have on her list is falling in love with the captain of the boys soccer team. 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐃𝐄𝐍―――just wants to finish his last year of high school by being scouted for a scholarship and maybe something more. His entire life revolves around a ball that he kicks with his feet, since the young age of four, the sport has held a tight grip around his throat. To have that taken away is equivalent to the end of the world―for him at least―which is why he takes his coaches advice and begins to look for after school tutoring. What he didn't expect, is for his tutor to be the cute girl he's had his eye on since freshman year. He knows that girls are a distraction, he's seen it happen to all of his teammates, but just how is he supposed to resist her cute freckled cheeks and pretty smile? "Marek, don't do this. Keep your captainship. I'll tell the truth about what happened and we'll both be out of the deal." "But-" "I don't know what your doing, if you think this is going to win you attention or sympathy. Or maybe you are being a noble prat and doing as 'you should'. Plus, I don't mean anything to you. Never have, never will. So please, please, stop acting like I'm special. " "But you are." And then his voice cracked, and I cracked with it. ------------------------ She's sick of his arrogant ways, and the bragging. With her goal being to slap some sense into him, she makes a deal; they act like a couple in every sense of the word and the first one to fall in love? Loses. It's only when she realises he may not be such a terrible man after all that she doubts her ability to win. But what if the one thing she put on the line is the one thing she would die trying to protect? Will she allow a relationship to blossom under pressure from her past? **Disclaimer** The drawing in the cover isn't mine (but it was so pretty I used it anyway).
