Taking Her Heart

Angel always heard of the century old tales about the monster like wolf that would take women once every decade. Like the rest of the people who live in her tiny town, she had thought it was just a myth. Legend was, this monster would come during the night once a year and search for the girl whom his soul called to, whom he felt an instant pull towards. She had only ever heard of one girl who was taken, Elizabeth Westshore. Her great grandfather used to tell Angel all about Elizabeth when she was a young girl, before Angel's great grandfather died. He would tell her how she was a friend of his and how they were only 16 years old when she was taken from her bedroom in the middle of the night. She was never found and never seen again. No one ever believed the story to be true, until Angel was taken.
