Every four years, the eighteen-year-old human females would swarm at the Cresonation Square, silently praying they weren't late. There was always a terrified fear in their hearts.
Every four years, the sixteen-year-old vampire males would arrive at Cresonation Square, hoping they seemed fashionably late. There was always a hungry desire in their hearts, although it did not beat.
It was tradition that a female human and a male vampire were paired up, so the vampire could turn the human. For only males were born vampires. The females were bitten.
