I never was normal.
I noticed it by the way people stare at my strange purple eyes and pale skin.
Purple eyes aren't normal. Nobody has ever had purple eyes. It just doesn't happen. The only eye colors I have ever seen in my short, sucky life were: Brown, Hazel, Green, Blue, Gray, and a mixture of Hazel, Green, and Blue.
And the pale skin? Sure, people get pale. But they're usually not so pale that they're almost white with only a tiny bit of color, in the middle of the summer. That also doesn't happen.
I also noticed that I wasn't normal because I have no parents. Nobody has ever seen my parents.
As if they never existed.
