Powers That Be is a look into a world of Superhumans. Some want to be heroes. Some become villains. Most just want to be left alone. What happens when one Super goes too far and exposes the secret of Superhumans to the whole world?
This is an introductory chapter; basically a treatment of what you might see in the first Powers That Be novel, entitled Renegade. Renegade is the story of a former US Special Forces soldier who lost life in the War on Terror - and found a new one as part of a clandestine organization that hunts down superpowered threats.

When monsters reveal themselves to the human race a sixty year war brakes out between the humans and all the races of monsters. After the war humans were forced to move into the Americas. Leaving the rest of the world to all the different races of monsters. Now in the present day the humans live in poverty and have the monsters ruling over them but our main character, Anise is going to change the rules using seduction, power, talent, and other means to get what she needs to move up in the world. By becoming a prodigy she is transferred to an all monster high school/college and is the first human to ever attend the school. Hoping she can gain power and knowledge through her school and her peers, she will try her hardest, but will it be enough?
Atomic Abyss
Forty years ago, the world ended at the hands of the Monarch of the Abyss, such a being spread it's accursed powers across the world and brought humanity to the brink of extinction. Even a world filled with super powers stood no chance, all hope was not lost however, a light shone brightly as the world's end drew near, slaying this fiend... for now... Even after the death of the Monarch of the Abyss the world is far from stable or safe, what remains of humanity lives inside a singular city, protected by a handful of sworn heroes, monsters lurk outside, remnants of that awful day. Forty years later a new hero appears, bearing a scarily familiar power, he'll endure many burdens in a bid to learn more about himself and those he works with in this corrupt society where heroes are revered as gods among men and all logic is replaced with propaganda. A threat from within their own walls threatens to tear humanity apart from the shadows, the heroes will need to overcome both the monsters beyond their walls and threats from their own people in order to prevail, humanity's fate will soon be at hand, will it be salvation or oblivion?
Heroes Not Wanted

Unfortunately for Hal, when he and Diana are attacked by mysterious assailants, he discovers his powers and becomes a wanted man himself. With the assistance of some experienced superhumans and a set of inexperienced twins, Hal must try and survive while protecting the city of Haven. The story of a guy with extraordinary abilities and extraordinary problems. He meets friends, enemies, and loses a bit of each. I enjoy writing and drawing comic books and making my own heroes and villains and I wanted to see how turning my favorite hero into a book would turn out. Feel free to give feedback, it always helps.
