Powers That Be is a look into a world of Superhumans. Some want to be heroes. Some become villains. Most just want to be left alone. What happens when one Super goes too far and exposes the secret of Superhumans to the whole world?
This is an introductory chapter; basically a treatment of what you might see in the first Powers That Be novel, entitled Renegade. Renegade is the story of a former US Special Forces soldier who lost life in the War on Terror - and found a new one as part of a clandestine organization that hunts down superpowered threats.

Long ago, there was a world known as Ryugaeia. It was a peaceful world where dragons and humans lived in harmony. Dragons were the keepers of the elements and humans were keepers of the world. Time passed and the Dragons and humans formed an alliance. By becoming a prodigy she is transferred to an all monster high school/college and is the first human to ever attend the school. Hoping she can gain power and knowledge through her school and her peers, she will try her hardest, but will it be enough?
