The plague broke out five years before, killing over 90% of the world's population. It turned those she thought she could trust into mindless, undead, monsters. Caroline was lucky to have made it out of Ottawa alive, thanks to the help of her childhood in the Yukon, learning how to fight and survive with more traditional weapons.
When she finds herself trapped within the confines of an abandoned apartment complex in what was Caledon, she has to make a choice. Either face the undead alone or help the mysterious, accented, skull faced man she finds within.
What she isn't expecting is to find someone she can lean on and, even, learn to love.
