Relentless

Ever since the day she was born, there had always been a certain energy around Sarah. Things would just "happen" that would benefit her, like a gate opening when she wanted to go out, or a toy that she wanted to play with falling from a high self. It was as if she had the best luck in the world, which was useful, being the daughter of politician in congress. About four years ago, something happened. Her father was so consumed with trying to get his friend get into office as a judge, that he was ignoring his daughter. On the night of the election, her father threw a party for his friend. Sarah sat alone in her room, and a great power suddenly welled up from nowhere. When it was released, it blew out every window in the house.

After the event, everyone was rushed to the hospital. It was found out that her fathers friend had gone deaf due to the Surge, basically ruining his chances of ever being a judge. Sarah was secretly happy about this, because now her dad would have more time for her. Or so she hoped. About a week later, her father was busy handling his own campaign, still ignoring his daughter. She had been waiting patiently all week for him to notice her again, and he had not. She was furious, and went to her father’s study, and stood glaring at him. She started glowing as if on fire, heating up the entire room, until her father started to feel the heat, and finally looked at his daughter.
