On the streets of California, there are people that only come out when no one is around. Here is where a specific family, the Soto's, somehow keep a low profile and hide from the police, despite their money laundering, drug smuggling, and the occasional murder, even inside their own family.
 Carla Soto is 15 years old, and the youngest member of the family. Things were simple. She didn't like what her family did just to survive on a daily basis, so she usually stayed out of trouble. But when a new member, non-family-member Mason Whitmore, is initiated into the gang, things get complicated.
