Aphrodite and the Cursed Pearl (Short Story)

Aphrodite, a Greek goddess born from sea foam, always had a soft spot for the ocean. She is the goddess of love and beauty, so naturally, everything she owned was breathtakingly gorgeous. Under Aphrodite's possession, everything either shimmered or glowed; therefore, when all the talk down in the mortal world was about the most dazzling pearl that ever existed, Aphrodite immediately thought to herself, 'I must have such a wonder.'
Unfortunately, the pearl was lost at sea, but for Aphrodite, that would be a minor obstacle; however, little did she know that this particular pearl wasn't going to be taken without a price. With the beautiful pearl in her possession, Aphrodite's entire world is changed forever. Crumbling.

It was lost for a reason.
