I'm the kind of girl who keeps her own secrets. I'm in high school and I still believe fairies....because I believe I am one. I've never had REAL magic but I can control wind spirit, and speak to her.  Others believed along with me...but they always end up forgetting, or leaving me because they think it's just a game. 

I've been by myself since 5th grade. Now the Great Tree said it's time to train four other girls  because another girl has taken over the Spirit of Storms. When she does that...I can't control my own powers...the wind spirit.

So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them. They need Winter to fight with it but how can they do so if they don't know Winter? (It isn't fully edited. Canthopia, it's a world where every single person has a power. The people acquire these powers only after they turn 19 and after. But sometimes, in some rare cases, some special people get it around 16 or 17 years. And after they find out they are send to the Elemental Academy to find what power they have and also to perfect it. Melanie Grace was one of those few people who got her power a few days after she turned 17. And thus was send to the Elemental Academy and has to stay there till she has mastered her power....or powers? So what power or powers will Melanie get? Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. I dare to ask. He sits back at the wall staring at me. He runs his eyes down my body and slowly smirks. "Yes," "Good," I say digging my fork into the pasta. I then place the pasta into the carrots... Playing with my food. I have been scolded for this many times when I was back in the Ordinary world. Now there is no one to do that for me. Asher comes closer to me and I could sense the burnt wood in him. I smile as he wraps his arms around me. "Your mine. Only I can look at you that way. Only I can touch you. Only I can kiss you. Understand?" He asks me. I nod. He places a kiss on my lips and a kiss on my collarbone. "Good," I peek at my lashes again to find golden boy looking elsewhere. Okay, so here's how it all began. Basically, teenagers have been vanishing across the country and no one has the foggiest idea what's going on (myself included). But at the end of the day I've got bigger things to worry about, such as the eternal hell that is the last day of high school and my psychopathic chemistry teacher. I've got enough going on in my life to be worrying about something I can't do anything about. Famous last words Nick. Suddenly I find myself being dragged into a world I apparently belong to and there's a war going on. The light and the dark are scrabbling for control and everything is hanging by a thread. What's not enough for one, too much for three, and just right for two? A secret. But you know teenagers. We tend to break or bend the rules. In this case, three is just right for the secret that these highschoolers hold. Facit autem virtus nostra nos. Our power makes us one. "So, what am I?" "We, we don't know. We're still trying to figure that out." And with that, he got up and left the room. Swirling his coat behind him, leaving us to deal with this information. I felt as if I had just been slapped directly in the face with a frying pan. What do you mean you don't know what I am? As if I'm some sort of alien creature or something that's going extinct.
