The Weekend That Was

You would think being in this situation right now I’ve come to realise how big of an idiot I am and the fact that I’m in this god forsaken place with HIM of all people, I would have mentally broken down by now. But see the thing is, is that if it wasn’t for him then I probably wouldn’t have just had two of the best days of my life, whether I knew it then or not. And to be honest, he may be a pain in my ass but he has grown on me, more than I thought unfortunately.

Sitting with your right hand handcuffed to your sisters’ famous boyfriends’ best friend and your left hand handcuffed to a metal barrier at a music festival that you snuck into was not how I had pictured my 21st birthday turning out. But to be frank knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t change it for anything; as mental as that sounds.

You’re probably curious as to the previous events that resulted in me being in this situation, believe it or not but it all started with a breakfast bagel.

Carter Rees definitely had not had this in mind when she thought about her 21st birthday. But the fact that she ended up stuck with Eli Mathers of all people, she now thinks that its one birthday she will never forget.
